help-permission denied on old pst

I have old pst files from my previous PC. If i try to
load these I get the error message "File Access denied.
You do not have permission to acess the file
E:\oldin2003.pst" I have the password but dont get asked
for it. How can I read these old emails on my new PC.

Is the file write-protected or on a CD? If yes, copy the HD and remove the
write-protection.

Outlook .pst files do not store MAPI permissions. Check the file systems
permissions and be sure the file is not marked read-only.
