Help recovering a lost document

Hello,

I recently hit save instead of save as while working on a
document. I tried to do a system restore, but the restore
point was not available for the time that I screwed up.
Is there anyway to go back to an earlier version of a
document in word? Thanks in advance!

Only if you had the Alway create backup copy option checked under
Tools>Options>Save and you only saved it once.

If the document was still open, you could Undo back to the beginning of the
editing session and save again, then Save As and Redo to get back to where
you were.
