HELP! Table Problem

Hello

I am using C# to get information from rows in a Word document and as long as
I do not have more the around 400 rows in the table everything is fine. the
information is posted to my SQL table on a row by row basis, and is quite
fast.

The problem is when I have more than say 600 rows in my table everything
slows down to a painfull crawl. Some of the documents I have to process have
more than 1700 rows!. I allowed one of the documents to complete it's job and
found it took more than 5 hours! 300 rows in a table takes about 4 - 5
minutes. Any help would be appreciated.

regards

Hello

I managed to figure out why my tables were taking so long to process. They
are created through a mail merge from a Paradox database. Once filled in they
are read on a row by row basis, and put in the online SQL database. The
reason it was so slow was the table is locked by default. One the lock was
removed and the document saved everything was much better. What took hours
took only a few minutes. CASE CLOSED.
