Help with a corrupt Project (2000) file

Hi - Can someone help me to recover a Project file that I have created.
Whilst using Dialup networking MSProject crashed and now when I try to open
the file it says the format is not recognized. The file still has a size of
186kb so still holds some information?! I have tried saving it to a new name
and copying it to my local drive. I have also tried to import it - but no
luck. Can anyone help as I don't want to have to re-do the plan!

i had this problem with a file the other day
- try the ideas at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;318438
- if you have version 2002 / 2003 around try and open it with that (if you
don't email it to me and i'll give it a go - julied_ng at hcts dot net dot
au)
- re-install project or try opening the file on another computer
- you could try the instructions at
http://www.msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnproject/html/projoledb.asp
to link the file to an access database and open it with that (go tothe
article entitled "Accessing the OLE DB Table Structure Using Data Access
Pages in Microsoft Access" and see if it works ...note, i couldn't get it to
work as i didn't have Microsoft Project 9.0 OLE DB Provider on my machine so
i don't know if this will help)
