Help With Login Page

I want to have an online club that you can sign up for like Lego.com Or
Neopets.com. You know, you don't have to login to see the site but just a
part.

Please help!

I'm also trying to password-protect access to my site, but only while
I'm testing it. I have some other folks that need to look at to give
comments on look and feel, etc., but we're not ready to open it up to
the world.

The links Ken provided point to rather more powerful products intended
to be used on an ongoing basis. I suppose they would work, but I don't
want users to self-register, and I don't want to create a new database
on the site, because my host only provides one with the account and I
want to use it for other things. All I really want to is tell the folks
that need to use it that the username is XXXX and the password is YYYY,
and then when we're done testing just make the whole thing go away.

I believe I saw something in the FP Server Administration area that
would handle this, but again my hosting provider doesn't seem to allow
me create a new user account.

Thanks,
Randy Morgan

Password Protect Part of a Web:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;301554
This requires the host allows subwebs with unique permissions, and at
least one additional user.

If the test is for a short period then use a subweb for the test
pages. Search engines and the like will only find those pages that
have links going to them, but if you are on a Windows server and use
the FrontPage search component with Index Server, make sure this
subweb is excluded from the search.
