Help with saving down to a different version

I have PP 2002 at home and saved my presentation to a lower version (2000) so
I could work on it somewhere else. But when I opened it (somewhere else) all
my photos were dark and grainy. Anybody know why?

Don't backsave as a lower version. PPT 97 through 2003 share the same
format, so PPT 2000 can open your PPT 2002 file just fine as long as you
don't put a password on the 2002 file.

How do you handle working on a PPoint 2003 file designed for a computer with
PPoint 2000? We had some issues with the use of new features in the PPoint
2003 file which would not work w. with PPoint 2000 computer.

We are in the middle of a roll out - so some folks have Office 2003, while
others have Office 2000.

Looking for best practices on this issue...

Thanks,
Tracy

In 2003 (or 2002), go to the Tools menu and choose Options. In the Edit
tab, check teh boxes at the bottom under "Disable New Features." Then,
whatever you create in 2003 or 2002 should behave in 2000.
