Strange thing with Powerpoint 2003 All of a sudden when I open a
presentation THE PICTURES DO NOT SHOW UP AND THE BACKGROUND IS GREY

It only occurs on somde presentations and if I find one that opens ok
then then open one of the "grey presentations" they open up normally.

Any help would be appreciated

Definately not a hardware issue. It is not a new machine and nothing
has changes (drivers etc) and again it works normally if I set macro
security to low or load some of my older slides first. It is some
type of security issue with Powerpoint. Any ideas?

You know, it would have taken you less time to try it than to post about why
it's not the right answer.

You never know -- it might actually be the right answer. I've seen changing
hardware acceleration fix a wide variety of bizarre problems that don't
necessarily seem like display issues.

Whatever. If you're not willing to try simple suggestions, I won't make any
more.

I apologize if I sound arrogant so I did try it and ... same thing ...
did not change. The reason that I did not try it in the first place
is that my computer has an ATI card with a TV tuner. Any changes in
hardware acceleration would deactivate the card which would make my
other major function of the computer the ability to edit videos
impossible

Finally It did not seem to make sense since the driver has not changes
and I do not allow WIndows to update automatically and have not
updated Windows in the last week. Even if this soultion worked it did
not adequatly explain why the problem occured and that was the opinion
I was voicing

Again I apologize..and do need help since I still have this problem

:(

TIA
