Ho do I add sound to power point presntations

I am trying to add sound to my power point presentation other than the simple
phrase sounds. How do I do this?

You could start with Insert > Movies and Sound > Sound from File (then browse
to insert your desired sound). However, your solution depends on the format
of your sound (mpeg, wav). See this link for more information:

For wav format, you can go to Slide Show > Slide Transition.
Under Modify Transition (Sound, click the drop down and select Other
Sound...
Select the sound and click OK.

Open PowerPoint. Click on HELP. Enter Sound in the search box.
