Holiday Days

Is there a way of inputting a list of non working days-such as employee
holidays,or bank holidays, or is it best to 'Split tasks'to take these into
account (which seems quite laborious)

If so would this list be by the resource or by the project?

Hi
Cheers I found that now.
Chaging the base a calendar is nice as it shows non working time company wide.
Is there a setting which allows you to see resource holiday days in theGant
view.
For example, If a resource has 5 days off holiday (monday to friday) and I
schedule 2 days of work (100%) to start on the previous Friday, the bar
stretches from friday, over the 5 days off and finishes on the Monday - which
is correct. However it would be nice if the 5 days where he is on holiday is
visually demarked in some way

Hi

this is only possible in the gantt chart if you change it to show the
specific resource's calendar (format / timescale / non-working time,
calendar drop down) and this "works" if you then filter only for the
resource and then print it out ..as you can see it "messes" up the gantt
chart for everyone else.

however, you might like to check out Jan de Messemaeker's site - as he has
an alternative approach which i think works well ...

file!)
