home page graphic banner

I want to make a graphic banner with the breeze theme. I clicked web
component- included content-page banner. Then when the box comes up where I
choose picture or text, I click picture but the box where I type the text is
greyed out. After I click finish, the [Add this page to the navigation
structure to display a page banner here] displays where the banner should be.
I want the Breeze theme banner.

You have to add the page to the navigation view.
View->Navigation
Then from the Folder list, drag the page into the view, until it
connects with a page already in there.

just switch to navigation view and drag the page(s) in question to the nav
view. it will then show you the correct banner.

Its the home page, so its already in the Nav structure. If I move it from the
folders list to the Nav structure then there will be two links in the link
bar. I only want one link.

Yes, but does it have the home icon in it in nav view, and have you selected Nav Bar properties that include the home page?
