Horizontal line will not disappear (Word 2002)

I am editing a document in Word 2002 (XP platform), and have a horizontal
line at the top of each page and cannot get rid of it. I have checked
format + borders and shading in the main text and in the header, but it
shows that there is no line. Any ideas on where this mysterious being is
coming from, and how I can terminate it?

Try Format | Borders and Shading: Page Border to see if there is a top page
border. Alternatively, could there be a drawing line in the header?
