Since the occurrence seems very limited, it is possible the issue has
nothing to do with Microsoft.
Gmail who has the most to lose even says "very limited"
The issue may very well have nothing to do with either party.

Overall the article is poorly written in that the initial message is
that Hotmail is at fault.
Yet not even Gmail suggests as much.
