Hover Capability

Is it possible to hover over an object or text box and have additional text
appear?

Right click on the textbox/image and click Hyperlink. Press the screentip
button and type the text you want to see.

If you do not want it to be linked to anywhere, under "Link to:", click on
Place in this document, then choose the current slide you are in.
