how can I bring up the whole cipart collection

K

KO'C

I have just changed from Publisher 2000 to 2003. When I used to search for
clipart the whole collection would come up and I could choose the category or
type in a search word. Now a few come up and I don't know how to say - search
again or change criteria. Can you help please.

Many thanks, Kathy

Office 2003 came with very little clipart, you will have to be online to fetch
your desired clips. Open help, scroll down to "See Also", click online settings
content, check "Show content and links from Microsoft Office Online." Check
"Search online content when connected."

Office 2003 uses the Organizer, it is not compatible with the Gallery. You can
use the Gallery as an add-in. See here:
http://ed.mvps.org/Static.aspx?=Publisher/add-ins
Scroll down to Microsoft Clip Gallery

When you have Publisher open, insert, picture, clipart, this will take you to
the Office site. Check all the clips you want to download, download the basket.
When you save clips they automatically go into the Organizer. You can view your
downloaded clips in My Pictures, Microsoft Clip Organizer.

Thank you for the response. Im sorry I wasnt clear, what I want to do is use
the "Gallery" 5.0 as an add in which you instructed how to do below. I did
this but do not know how to bring it up. Like before I just double clicked on
a pic or clip art and it brought up the gallery and the catagory in which the
item was in..very convienent. By the way I have pub 2003 and the clip art
"gallery stuff " is form a few versions. So I guess it boils down to if Ive
added the gallery as an add in how do I make it work...assuming I have added
it correctly.
Thanks for your help Mary I think you have helped me before.

Hello, You need to install the Gallery from an Office or Publisher disk, 2000 or
below.
The Gallery will be installed in a folder similar to this
C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ARTGALRY
In this folder will be the CAG.exe, drag it to the desktop and create a
shortcut. You cannot insert from it but you can drag and drop.
The add-in from Ed's web site places an icon on your Publisher tool bar. You
also can access the Gallery by insert, object, scroll down to the Microsoft Clip
Gallery.
