How can I change default Unfiled Notes to have a white background (instead of yellow)?

Hi-

I love using the unfiled notes by hitting Windows Key + N to add a
quick little note, however I dont really like the default background
color that the notes have, which is yellow.

How can I change it so that these unfiled notes will have a white
background instead of the yellow?

Thanks
-Sean

You need to set/edit the default template for the section. Open the Unfiled
Notes section and a blank page inside it. Click File | Page Setup, change
the page body color to whatever you want (including "None") then click "Save
current page as a template", give it a name and check the box to make it the
default template for that section (Unfiled Notes).

See if that does it.

P.S. I didn't ask, but the above procedure is for OneNote 2007. If you're
using 2003 it may be a bit different, I'd have to look to be sure.

I have ON 2007 and have tried your suggestion. Setting the default to a white
page template does result in a white page each time I add a new page
manually. However, the screen clippings still appear on a yellow page. I have
chaged to default white page for every section and subsection. The yellow
page for screen clippings persists. Is there another place where the default
can be changed?

Same issue . . . with another dilemma.

Because Unfiled Note is on a yellow page -- without a Page Title field --
moving it to a tab has to involve a cut & paste, rather than just a Move.

The reason why template change does not work may be ...
this bit of confusion:
(1) One Note loads into Task Bar upon bootup. If I do a "Clip to One Note"
taskbar program version opens. (2) BUT I also have the One Note Program open
separate from that -- so it seems as if I always have the program running
twice.

This also impacts being able to easily clip to a location rather than to a
yellow Unfiled Notes page.
