How can I convert a Word document into a .PDF file ?

I'm using Windows 2000 and trying to convert a Word doc including photos to a
..PDF file.

To convert to PDF in Windows, you need a third party utility, and the free
Adobe Acrobat Reader will not do it. There are free and cheap programs as
well as the expensive Adobe Acrobat. Some include pdf995 and cutepdf, I
think, but google for one that suits you.
