How can I convert an word document to an image?

I am looking to save a word document as an image file (i.e. .jpg or .gif).
Is there any way to do this?

The only way I can think of is to use SnagIt and print to the image
driver.

You could also scan it and save it as an image file.

You could probably output to the fax driver also.
