How can I convert ppt slide shows into pdf ?

I have 1. win 98 2.acrobat distiller 3 & 5 & m.s. office 2000.
I am trying this way -
file-print-acrobat distiller-print
the dialogue box " save pdf file as " appears but after saving the file is
saved as log file & it does not open in acrobat reader. Please help
