How can I download Office for free; not the viewer?

need micro office

My computer somehow didn't come with Microsoft Office, so I am trying to
download it so that I can use word, excel, and powerpoint. But all I see
online is downloads for the viewer. Is it possible to download Microsoft
Office for free, and not the viewer?

A full version of Microsoft Office is not free. If you want it,
you must buy it like the rest of us.

You can't. Microsoft Office is not free software, you have to pay for
it.
Go to a store or order it online from a respectable company (such as
Amazon, buycheapsoftware.com, NewEgg, etc). Office generally costs
hundreds of dollars, so if any site claims to sell it to you for a lot
less, it's probably an illegal copy. Also, keep in mind that no legal
copy of Office can be obtained via downloading. Office ships on
CDs/DVDs, not via download.
You can get for free trial copies of Office as downloads from MS
directly. They will expire though after 30-90 days.
You can also get for free a beta version of Office 2007 from MS. This
will expire February 1. Keep in mind that this is real beta software, so
it has bugs, crashes, minor and major annoyances, might eat your
documents and might not work with your computer configuration. Beta
software is not supported by MS or anyone else, so the only help you can
expect to get it peer-to-peer help from people in these newsgroups.
