How can I import data from an excel form?

When I was using PP 2003, I could import data from an excel sheet to create a
chart. But now I can't find that function in PP 2007. I know under
"data"-->"get external data" I can get data from other places, but it doesn't
give me choices from excel (it has get data from web, from text, but not from
excel). Is there any way that I can import data from excel just like I did in
PP 2003?
