How can I modify bullets in Visio?

I working with Visio 2002. I have a bullet list, but the spacing between the
bullet and the first letter of the text is too wide. In the Format Text
dialoge box, there is no clear selection to change this spacing.

I'm sure I'm missing something. Is there an easy way to do this?

Easiest way:

Double-click your shape, or hit F2 to get into text-editing mode.

Now right-click and choose Text Ruler.

You now have a Word-like ruler up top, where you can drag those funny
spacing sliders to get the bullet/indentation spacing just right.

The numbers are available in Format > Text, but it's not clear exactly what
to change. I believe you usually have to change two numbers. One -, the
other +, but I can't remember off hand which ones.

Chris,

Thanks for your help. This worked exactly as you said. And it was more
intuitive than changing the 2 sets of numbers in the Format/Text dialogue
box.
