How can I omit unneccesary space between parts of word in farsi te

When i type a word in persian (farsi) that has two parts like مي کنم I cannot
omit the space between مي and کنم . As soon as I do this the two parts join
together and change into ميکنم which is not always desirable in texts.
In older version of office 97 we used two press Shift+Space bottons after مي
part and then type کنم part, which used to omit the space between them
without causing them to join.
