How can I recolor the "background" of a logo,

is it possible to change the background of a picute, specifically a logo.
After inserting, I can change the color of the logo but not the white
background. I want it to match the background page color.

Is it a bitmap, i.e. .jpg? You can use the transparency tool on the toolbar. If it is
a vector (.wmf), ungroup the object and delete the background.
