I WISH TO MAKE AN INVOICE FOR MY JOB REQUIREMENTS AND BE ABLE TO SAVE IT TO
REUSE WITH CHANGEABLE CONTENTS.
Do you need to use the preprinted forms in your printer? If so, you need
to have the form on screen, but print only the form field contents.
- Scan the form
- Insert it in your document
- Make sure the image is full size (print it and compare the printout
with the original. Do all lines fit perfectly?) Resize to perfection.
- Format the image with flow-through text.
- Insert the form fields where appropriate.
- Set the form to print only field contents.
If there is no invoice numbering or required "print specials"
(watermarks, metallic print, UV indication) on the preprinted forms, you
probably don't need to use them. In that case, making the form from

Guidelines for basing your form on the printed one:
- Draw all the vertical lines from top to bottom of the sheet
- Draw all the horizontal lines from left to right
- Count the number of columns and rows you get,
- Insert a table in a blank word document corresponding to that
row/column count.
- Merge table cells to make input field areas.
- Place the input fields
