Yep, that's why it's a bad idea to ask the question in the subject line
rather then the message body.

That was my point - that you do NOT submit an empty post! Why are you
trying to open .mdi graphic files? Who gave it to you? Why didn't they
convert it to a more globally supported file format? It is a new MS
proprietary format for Office 2003 so you need that product to view it,
just like you need Outlook to view .pst files.

You are expected to detail your query in the body of your post. A blank
post gets you a blank reply. Since the OP thought the Subject line was
sufficient to post their query, I used the same logic but, of course,
there are limitations in length for this header depending on the client
being used.
