mdi files.

I hadve made many .mdi files with my old laptop which had XP Professional. My
new laptop does not recognize .mdi files. There seems to be a new printer
driver for something called Microsoft XPS Document Writer that creates .xps
files. I made a few of them but when I go to open them, it opens a blank tab
in my Firefox browser.

How can I open my old .mdi files?

What are .xps files? Is this comparable to Document Imaging? How can I view
these?
