how can you install project server on to a 2008 server

Hi i have a standard 2008 server which i have installed sharepoint 2007 onto
but can not install project server onto the server. It keep saying that This
program is blocked due to compatibility issues. can anyone help please.

From where did you get the Windows 2008 Standard Server from. Was it a Retail,MSDN, etc ???
