I'd imagine it would depend on how you're doing the video conference.

We hook up the laptop or pc to the video conferencing unit-but you must
have the ability on the video conferencing unit (vga-in)- this connects
to the laptop or PC. Then you use your remote (from the video
conferencing unit) to switch between the two devices (main camera &
pc/laptop). Another thing is that you need to 'tell' the pc/laptop to
send to the vga-in. You do this by hitting 'cntrl' and one of the
function keys. You'll know what function key because it displays a
little monitor icon on it. I highly recommend you test this out
everytime you plan on utilizing it beforehand.

If you don't have that ability you just have to project the powerpoint
image onto a wall/screen and point the camera at it!
