How change default language in "Replies"

Here's a strange one--whenever I click on 'new mail message' in
Outlook, the blank message form appears and the language in the bottom
bar is "English". However, when I 'reply' to an inbound email, the
language in the bottom bar is "Slovene".

How can I default "replies" to English?

I've got German and Slovene installed. I'm running Win XP Pro SP2 and
Office XP Pro with word as the editor.

Did you ever find a solution to your problem decribed below?
We got the same problem here i Norway, this time with Norwegian and English.
Norwegian is the default language and is used for new messages, but when
replying it changes to US English.
Windows XP, Office XP, Word as editor.

If you did find a solution please let me know.
