How do I add a picture of a windows application?

I'm documenting procedure for running reports and I would like to add
pictures of application windows in the document. i.e. "When the window
appears, click 'ok'" or "Select the 'Calls Received' field" and then to have
a picture of the screen you would do that in. I hope I've been clear enough
with my question.

You can press Alt+PrintScreen to capture a screenshot of the active
window or dialog box, and press Ctrl+V to paste that screenshot into
your Word document.
