How do I add subscripts to normal sized letters in Visio?

P

Pflugs

I would like to make some electrical engineering drawings, and I want to use
subscripts to distinguish variables. I do not want to do all sub- or all
super- scripts as Visio is trying to make me do. Is there a way around this?

Are you in text edit mode? Press F2 to edit the text. (Usually you can
also double-click to edit the text.) Then select the characters you want to
change and make your formatting choices.

I'm sorry, I guess I wasn't selecting only the text I wanted as subscripts.
I was entering the text edit, typing the first letter, clicking subscript,
and typing the sub letter. Of course, that didn't work. I thought it would
edit text similar to Word.

Thanks for your help.

Yes, Word lets you "forward set" the formatting. Visio requires that you
select characters and modify them.

That looks like "Not designed by MS" legacy...

It definitely is. I would love to be able to change that.
