How do I apply conditional formatting in MS-Project text field?

I have an example of it, I just can't figure out how to create it from scratch.

You need to create a macro for this. Where the macro checks the value of
the field and applies a color to the text for this field.

Unfortunatly, I don't have some example code over here.

David,
It would help to know exactly what you are trying to accomplish rather
than a general reference and some unbeknownst example. Enlighten us and
we can probably help.

I figured it out. Right click on a text column and select "Customize
Fields...". Towards the bottom, select the "Graphical Indicators" button.
Apply conditional formatting as needed.

In my specific case, stop light colors are being used as indicators for key
milestones. We associated an "R" entry (or "r") in the text field with the
red circle icon, a "G" entry (or "g") for the green circle icon, etc.

That does not conditionally format your text, but if your question is:
how do I create graphical indicators or Traffic lights, then you have found
the answer-:)
