How do I avoid "file unavailable" error when opening any document.

I just installed Office Pro 2003, and now can not open any document (Word,
Excel, etc.). Error message shows "The file ~~~ is not available".

Do you actually get the 3 tildes or is the file name inserted there? What
happens if you browse to the known location and open the file? Does the
problem persist after this is successful?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

Disable the Office Plugin that comes with Symantec/Norton AntiVirus. See
