How do I avoid getting a 10-15 second delay everytime I try openi.

I have Office 2003. Everytime I try to open a file in Word there is a 10-15
second delay. I have tried changing the anti-virus preferences. I've
uninstalled and reinstalled the program. Nothing works. Help!

You didn't say what AV preferences, but if you are running Norton AV,
uncheck its Office plug-in option.

Hi Graham,
I'm running McAffe AV. I don't have a problem opening the Word program. I
have delayed access to each and every file within Word. Can you suggest
anything else? Thanks. -Andi
