How do I avoid repositioning of shapes when the size of their groupchanges

Hi,

when the size of a group changes Visio normally resizes and repositions
it's contained shapes.

It is possible to turn off the resizing.
But how do you turn off the repositioning?

I want the contained shapes to move together with the shape when the
group is moved. But I want them to keep their absolute position when the
group gets resized.

Any ideas on that?

Thanks and Regards,
Dirk

If possible, before the shape is added to the group, menu Format ->
Behavior and set "Reposition only" in the Resize behavior area.
If the shape is already part of a group ... I think the only solution
for thos maybe to edit the shape's shapesheet and remove references to
the containing group. Or temporarily remove the shape from the group,
set the Reposition only as above then add to the group. Removing
shapes from a group can cause problems though. Try it and see what
happens.

Thanks,

unfortunately your answer doesn't help me. I do not want "Reposition
only". What I want is "Do neither resize nor reposition", so no
repositioning at all.

Sorry, yes. I think the only way to do that is to replace the shape's
group relative formulae for the PinX and PinY with absolute values.
i.e. replace the, for example, =Sheet.n!Width*0.xxx with =1in or =25mm
etc.
