How do I change heading font size with list format for TOC?

I have a document that I need to have list for heading and be included in TOC
being generated automatically:

TOC:
1 Introduction.........................................1
1.1 Objective.......................................2
2 Method................................................3

Actual Body:

1 Introduction
This is to put in introduction

1.1 Objective
This is to put in all objectives for this document

2 Method
This method is to test customized format in Word.

If I am understanding you correctly, what you need are headings with outline
numbering; for instructions on how to set those up, see
