How do I change the colour of text or cell selection?

O

Old Gustav

Is it possible to change the colour of text when it is selected in Word - and
cells when they are selected in Excel? At the moment all selected text is
white with a black background. With Excel, selected cells are a pale blue
which is not very clear.

Many thanks.

Not really, unless you want to change your Window color in the Display
properties to yellow. Or I guess you could use the "Blue background,
white text" option found in Word under Tools/Options/General. Then the
selection would be yellow.

The change in Excel occurred in Excel 2002. Previous version behaved
as Word does.
