How do I change the Default Printer?

I have changed the default printer in Printers and Faxes, but it doesn't
change the first printer in the Print dialogue or the Print button on the
toolbar.

It is a Lexmark X5250 running off another computer (printing over the network)

I have correctly installed the drivers and it works successfully in all
other know applications.

Grr... Microsoft = Frustrating.

What version Publisher?
Are these files old when you had a different printer or is this happening on new
publications as well? Do you have the driver installed on your local computer?
Are you certain you have sharing enabled?

What happens if you open page setup, select a printer, then re-save the
publication?

My version is Microsoft Publisher 2003, fully patched and up to date.
No, these files were completely new, from the past few days.
Yes I have the driver installed correctly and it is shared, it works in
other apps.

I'll give the Page Properties a shot.

Hi,
I am having the same problem now that we have installed office sp2, the
printer icon in publisher shows the printer which the document was associated
with on creation, which bears no resemblance to the default printer in the
printer and faxes folder. My users 5000+ should not have to change the page
setup in publisher to point at the default printer each time they want to
print a document!!!!
I have not changed any of my print scripts (printui) machine scripts through
AD - but changes were made to the publisher print function in
OfficeSP2!!!!!!!!
