How do I convert Project 2003 to the earlier Mac Version?

My contractor uses MProject2003, on a PC, I use Mac, and have that last
version update of M Project for Mac, How do I open his Project file

Terry,
You don't. The contractor would have to "down save" it as Project 98.
Even then Project 4.0, (the latest native version for Mac), can't open
it unless it is saved as an .MPX file.

It's a PC world Terry when it comes to most business applications,
including Project. Rather than trying to work the extreme compatibility
issues between Project 2003 and Project 4.x, I suggest you do the
following: Buy Virtual PC for Mac. The latest version is 7.x but even
older versions (i.e. 5.x) will work fine for what you need to do. I use
Virtual PC everyday and it allows me to have the best of both worlds -
the ease of use on my Mac and compatibility with all versions of Project.
