How do I copy e-mails from my old computer to a new computer?

Have been borrowing a friend's computer for some time and have now invested
in a new computer. I am trying to copy e-mails from Outlook 2000 to Outlook
2000 on new computer and am not having much luck. I have been able to set up
the new account to receive new e-mails, but I would like to copy all the old
e-mails that I have received. Can anyone help please?

You stand a better chance of getting an answer if you post in a newsgroup that
deals with Outlook. This one is for Excel, specifically worksheet formulas.

Also asking how to do it when switching to a new computer is an indication
that you probably haven't been backing them up, unless you have the means to
copy your entire hard drive(s) so you also want to keep that as the backup
portion will be probably be the same as the first part of your transferring
such file to the new system..

Have you been backing up your Excel data, you might want to check
http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/backup.htm
Also includes some information on backing up Outlook Express, but
you have Outlook presumably on both systems which is a different mail system.
