How do I copy fonts that are used in powerpoint to font folder

Bear with me this might be complicated...

I have a font -- Helvetica Neue Light that I use in Powerpoint
presentations. I want to use this font to create a Powerpoint Template but
when I am in the Master view of a Powerpoint Template the font is not on my
list.

If I go to Control Panel / Fonts -- it's not there either.

I'm kind of thinking that if I can get the font to the font folder in the
control panel that it will be assible in Powerpoint template master view.

But, how can I get the font from my software programs to the font folder?

Which version of PPT are you using, Anne?

Is Helvetica Neue Light installed on the system or not? If it's not, it
won't show up in the font list even when you're in regular slide view.

To install a font onto your computer, go to Start|Control Panel|Fonts. Click
File|Install New Font and navigate to whereever the font file is on your
hard drive or other disk.

Bear this in mind: if you use this font in a presentation and open the
presentation on a computer that doesn't have HNL installed, PPT will
substitute a font for it. In this case, the text will show up in Arial if
HNL isn't installed. See http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00076.htm for
information on fonts in PPT.
