how do I copy my old (vinyl) records onto my hard drive?

I have windows XP, nero 6.
The XP programme, doesn't give the option to copy from a record player (or
cassette tape) or so it appears.
About a month ago, I somehow got it working, then after my PC crashed and
was repaired, somehow I cannot find the same settings/program to record the
old vinyls again.

Your problem has nothing whatsoever to do with any version of MS Office,
past or present.. I would suggest that you repost in
microsoft.public.windowsxp.general..

Only problem, I HAVE been copying tapes until the crash and the repair. Since
then, it doesn't give me the option to copy from 'line-in'.
