How do I create a Look Up table for the Group column on the Resour

How can I create a look up table for the "Group" column on the Resource Sheet
view?

While I've renamed Text 1, to something about Budget, and checked off
resource, text and look up table.... I know how to do similar for the Group
column. I want to be able to Sort by Group, for assigning resources, to make
it much easier when I have a long list of resources (hundreds of resources).

The Group field can't be customized. However, there is nothing to stop you
creating a Resource Custom field with a lookup list under Tools, Customize,
Fields.
