How do I create a new font

I have a vague recollection that there is a way to create my own font. I can't find how

I am not referring to downloading additional fonts

Go to www.callforhelp.com and search for "Create Font", or buy Macromedia's
Fontograph.

You need software that will do it. I've used CorelDraw which does it well,
but very expensive unless you know someone in Malaysia or you find an early
version at a garage sale. Or do a Google: there are probably sharewares.
