How do I create a program that instantly populates fields in Word

I am trying to create a template that will instantly populate certain fields
in documents that are repititious in my business in order to save time. I am
not sure if it needs to be done in Excel, Access or Word. I do know that the
documents that I am trying to link to this program are in Word. Please help.

various types of auto forms. Since you're new to this process, you'll
want to start by reading the "Please Fill Out This Form" series of
articles...starting with # 1...although # 5 will involve database
connectivity which will probably be more than you'll need...so you can
probably skip that one.
