How do I create and save custom layouts?

i'm using PowerPoint as a storyboard tool for e-Learning. Content is
converted to Flash and viewed by one person sitting at a computer screen. So
all its font sizes and layouts are too big and clunky. How do I create and
save a new set to replace what comes out of the box?

When your satisfied with what you have, save your presentation as a template
(.pot) file
