Font type and size change when applying theme/layout

Is it possible to not have the font size and type change when applying
a theme, master, or layout? I have many coworkers who need to update
to a new theme/master however they do not want the font type and size
to change. Is this possible in PowerPoint 2007?

I have tried many things yet it seems impossible with out VBA code to
reset everything.

I have tried to create a custom font however after applying a font
after a theme changed the font size the custom font does not change
the font size back? I have read about fixed fonts and played with
that to not avail!!!
