How do I create Macros for frequently used words & Phrases

I want to be able to record a macro: For example, let's say I use the word
bookkeeper very often and I want to be able to type "bkpr, space bar" and
then the word spells out.

Is this possible with word and if so, how do I do it?

That would not be a macro but an autocorrect entry How you set this up
depends on Word version, but it is fairly straightforward. Access to the
autocorrect dialog in Word up to 2003 is found from tools > autocorrect
options and in 2007 from Office Button > Word Options > Proofing >
autocorrect options (if you need to access this function regularly you cn
add it to Word 2007's QAT).
