How do I delete some of the default fields in workgroup messages?

I do not want all of the defualt fields defined by MS Project for Workgroup
Messages to go out with my status messages. Because the recipient cannot
maximize the message window upon resceipt, I want to minimize that number of
fields that are included in the message. I do not appear to be able to
remove the default fields when in Customize Workgroups. ANy ideas on how
this can be accomplished??

Version is MS Project 2000
