How do I design my home in Microsoft?

I am trying to draw and design my dream home. Is there an easy way to
accomplish this in Microsoft office?

Office doesn't have a graphics/drawing program as such. The best
you can do is to enable the Drawing toolbar and build your design
from basic shapes. I would recommend a program dedicated for
home design, there are several good and cheap ones available.

Well, like Chip says, there's lots easier programs to do it in, but if you
just HAVE to draw in Excel, it's possible, just not very user friendly. One
way is to set all t he column widths to 1.71, which makes every cell appear
square. You can consider every square a square foot (or so) and make
borders on the cells where you want lines. Or, you can just enable the
Drawing Toolbar and actually draw individual lines to the shapes you want.
Either way is crude, but can be done........but there is no automatic
dimensioning system.........you have to do that by hand too.........

I had pretty good luck using 12.75 row ht and 2 column width, calling that 4
feet and then text boxes. Then you can move em around to get a design.
